The ultimate goal of an educationist is to influence positive social change and transform the society. I perceive social change as any alterations over time in behavior and the norms of the people. With a PHD in education, I am an active agent of social change. I want to bring change and instill sobriety in the education sector. Education should be holistic in that it should expose leaners to different aspects of the social, economic, and political spheres of life. The most significant social change that I would instill in the education sector is innovation and creativity. These are the developmental pillars of any society.
By the time I will graduate for my PHD, I would have interacted with stakeholders across different levels of education. As such, I would have acquired experience and knowledge on the parameters of developing a viable curriculum and policies suitable for a holistic education. I intend to work in a highly influential position such as the minister of education so that I can transform the education sector. Most importantly, I want the leaners to realize that education is a lifelong process that aims at molding the mind, body, and soul.
