Collaboration in cancer centers is crucial since their medication employs a wide range of participants such as nurses, therapists, cardiologists, patients, and patient’s personal health care support systems that include family members, friends, and advocates, which must participate fully for the effective and efficient treatment process.
Moreover, these patients are vulnerable to situations that demand critical decision-makings, such as issues on care delivery, treatment, and rehabilitation, thus making it inevitable to employ inter-professional team collaboration. In that regard, this concept is available in the organization. However, despite this aspect’s availability, communication is not exercised fully, which is crucial for proper treatment plans since some professionals hold back valuable information and patients as well hence the need to improve on that to induce respect and trust.
